Our 1600 members enjoy a huge variety of hiking, backpacking, climbing and skiing activities throughout the entire year in addition to local social outings and an enjoyable Group Annual Dinner which is held every November to celebrate our members. Boulder outings run the gamut from leisurely slow-paced flower photography hikes and conservation projects to challenging high mountain summit climbs. We like to hike, ski and climb. We are friendly and we like to have fun!
For all level mountaineers, Boulder provides regular seminars in leadership, safety and First Aid. We also sponsor the Boulder Hiking School for people new to the Colorado mountains; the Boulder Mountaineering School (established in 1947) for members interested developing more technical mountaineering skills; and the Advanced Mountaineering School for those who think they might like to tackle full-scale mountaineering expeditions.
Plus there are yearly Back Country Ski Clinics and Telemark Ski Clinics, an Ice Climbing School, a Rock Leading School , and much more.
The Boulder Group also publishes the ultimate trail map of the Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks region -be sure to get yours! (Available at the American Mountaineering Center in Golden)
