Protecting Public Lands & Sustainable Recreation Opportunities

Through legistlative and administrative campaigns, CMC Conservation works to preserve and enhance human-powered recreation in balance with natural resource conservation on Colorado's public lands. Projects include public land planning, new Wilderness designations, and policy related to outdoor recreation and conservation.

	DECALIBRON LOOP ACCESS CMC has been involved in working with landowners, land managers, local municipalities, volunteers, and other partner organizations to protect access to the 14,000 ft peaks that are accessed from the Kite Lake Trailhead since 2019. 2020 Visitor Use Report 2021 Visitor Use Report
	OUTSIDE 285 MASTER PLAN The goal of this project is to balance increasing demands for outdoor recreation opportunities with critical wildife habitat conservation along the HWY 285 corridor. Read the plan's Executive Summary to learn more.
