The Youth Education Program (YEP) of the Colorado Mountain Club relies on a dedicated group of volunteers to deliver experiential and environmental education to over 8,700 Denver area youth each year. Volunteering with YEP is a great way to share your love of Colorado’s great outdoor spaces and activities with the next generation of outdoor stewards!
Why volunteer with YEP?
We are looking for volunteers who:
Choose your level of involvement in one (or more) of these options:
Basecamp Assistant- help YEP staff with Schools & Groups programs by belaying youth climbers, facilitating small group activities, and supporting with safety and group management.
Summit Trip Leader- follow the CMC trip leader track to organize your own youth activities or serve a School Group lead on your choice of programs.
(must be an active CMC member)
Summer Small Group Assistant- work alongside a YEP instructor and choose your level of leadership for a weeklong small group summer camp.
Do you have another skill or interest that you would like to share with the YEP team? Complete the volunteer application and send along with your resume to staceyh@cmc.org.
YEP relies on generous contributions from grants and donors to connect students to nature and our mountains. You can "bring the mountains" to a child in our community with a tax-deductible gift to YEP today.
