Wilds

We partner with entities throughout the region to protect ecologically significant wildlands in the Southern Rockies ecosystem.  For over one hundred years we have protected lands and wildlife across Colorado.  From our lead role in designating Rocky Mountain National Park to our success in protecting the Roan Plateau, our present-day work continues to ensure the integrity of roadless areas and habitat corridors.  Read on to find out more about what we're doing in 2015.

	WILDLIFE  We are working to protect habitat and strike a sustainable balance between outdoor recreation and wildlife needs.  With appropriate planning efforts and restoration work we hope to maintain and create high quality habitat corridors.
	LAND PRESERVATION  We are the primary stewards of the Rampart Range Roadless Area (for more information, visit our Rampart Range Wildlands Project page) and are partnering with like-minded organizations to protect areas like Wolf Creek Pass.
	NATURAL RESOURCES  We rely on clean water, air, and soil to sustain our public lands and communities in Colorado so we work to ensure that both public and private land use (in the form of recreation, extraction or otherwise) is compatible with ecosystem health.
